The Philippines blessed with some of the world’s best beaches and islands is once again attracting top Sailors from all over the world to the Philippine Hobie Challenge. One of Asia’s premier “adventure” sailing events. Now on it’s 19th year, the 2019 route will take sailors around the beautiful islands of the Visayas Region. This week long inter-island sailing event will kick off at Donsol, Sorsogon – the Whale Shark capital of the Philippines. The race will stop at the pink sand island of Subic Beach, sail down to the crystal clear waters of Balingingue Island, take another stop at the picturesque island of Carnaza, off the coast of Northern Leyte. On day 4 to the pristine beaches of Guintacan Island and finally will finish at the lost paradise of Sicogon island, on the eastern side of Panay
The Philippine Hobie Challenge is a unique way of gathering sailing enthusiasts and providing them a venue to test their sailing skills, make new and life long friends. It is also an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the Philippine islands, creating awareness for the environment and supporting the communities that inhabit these areas through outreach programs that is an integral part of the challenge.
